reversing door. An independent theatre group which uses the principles of a collective devising theatre during a creative process. A joint work, during which each member of the group participates in the genesis of all components of the production – the first is the theme; the last, but not least are its acting and directing ideas. In addition to the own work of contemporary theatre productions, the group Reversing Door works as a creative laboratory with the possibility of exploring and professional reflection of collective devising theatre.

history. The theatre group Reversing Door was found in October 2010 by graduate student Kamila Kostřicová (Konývková), under the patronage of a Theatre and Education Department on Theatre Faculty, Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, Czech Republic. The original purpose of the group as an optional subject in the study plans of the Theater and Education Studio has gradually expanded to a distinctly functioning more or less settled grouping of people connected by a specific view of creation and life. The group was increasingly traveling to various festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad and exceeded the boundaries of home academic land.

ngo. Since 2018, the Reversing Door have been operating as a non-governmental organization (Reverzní dveře z. s.), which currently has a home stage and rehearsal background in friendly theatre Trám in Svitavy. A permanent Brno space for regular productions is currently in a process of finding. However, the cooperation with the Theater Faculty of JAMU still lasts and the main research of the collective devising theatre takes place there.
